It is a subsidiary company which means it is owned and controlled by another company. An American multinational entertainment, and record label conglomerate headquartered in Los Angeles. It is one of the ‘big three’ recording companies and the third largest in the global music industry, after ‘Universal Music Group’ and ‘Sony Music Entertainment’. The company owns and operates some of the largest and most successful labels in the world (e.g. Elektra Records, Warner Records, Parlophone and Atlantic Records). Since 2nd August 2018, Warner Music Group has expanded its business to digital media operation through its acquisition of Uproxx.
