Audience Description My music video to ‘You Don’t Own Me’ by Lesley Gore will be aimed at teenage girls. I chose this audience because I think girls from a young age should be encouraged to not let boys control them or push them around. I also think that the song should be aimed at girls with feminist views. I think this audience because the song lyrics are saying that girls shouldn’t be told what to do by boys and they should be treated equally, so it is important that they agree with the lyrics of the song. I want my music video to be just as inspiring as the lyrics and it should encourage young girls from a young age to stand up for themselves and teach them from a young age that they have so much power and independence. I think that quite a lot of girls have problems with boys growing up and it can affect them and their self-confidence growing up. This song and music video should inspire girls to be strong, independent and confident.

Music Video Reflection What do I think went well? - I was really pleased with the lip syncing in my video. I think that I managed to get the lip syncing perfectly in time and I persisted to make sure that it was in time with music. What have I learned? - One thing I learned from making my music video is that it's difficult to find somewhere to make your video. I did mine at school because another problem I encountered was finding people that would be in my video outside of school. Because I was limited to making my video at school, it meant that the all the shots were obviously at filmed in a school which effected the mise-en-scene. To improve my video I could've made more of the fact it was filmed in school by having the Lucie and Sam, the actors in my video, wear school uniform and have school books. This would've created much better mise-en-scene and it would've made more sense having it filmed in a school. Next time I will film my video in a different place and ...
