·       He was born on 22nd August 1969.
·       Adam Spiegel, professionally known as Spike Jonze, is an American filmmaker, photographer and actor, whose work includes music videos, commercials, film and television.
·       Jonze began his career when he was a teenager photographing BMX riders and skateboarders for ‘Freestylin’ Magazine’ and ‘Transworld Skateboarding’ and co-founded the youth culture magazine ‘Dirt’.
·       Moving into filmmaking, he began shooting street skateboarding films, including Video Days (1991).
·       Jonze’s filmmaking style made him an in-demand director of music videos for much of the 1900s, resulting in collaborations with Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, Weezer, Kanye West and Arcade Fire.
·       Jonze began his feature film directing career with ‘Being John Malkovich’ (1999) and ‘Adaption’ (2002), which earned him an Acadamy Award nomination for Best Director.
·       Jonze later began directing films based on his own screenplays, including ‘Her’ (2013), for which he won the Acadamy Award, Golden Globe and the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay, while receiving Acadamy Award nominations for both Best Picture and Best Original Song.
·       Jonze co-founded ‘Directors Label’ with filmmakers Chris Cunningham, Michel Gondry, and the Palm Pictures company.
·       Jonze is currently the creative director of ‘Vice Media, Inc’ and its multinational television channel ‘Vice on TV’.
